For more than 10 years we have developed a family of technologies, taking the best combination of material, design and production methods to produce new technologies that facilitates new ways to recycle energy, like the CaeliQ for coaxial recuperative vents or the Trifecta with three interacting flows. By transforming the traditionally passive heat exchanger into an active component, new uses and previously unattainable performance can be achieved on a system scale.

Functional Design - Cost Efficient Production - Optimal Material Use

Key application areas are:

  • Ventilation/HVAC

  • Heat exchangers

  • Condensers/dehumidifiers

  • Room Ventilators (continuous flow, counter current, coaxial)

  • Radon Ventilators with zero net pressure

TRIFECTA° – Multiple flowing media configurations reduce frost formation

The Trifecta was designed to reduce the formation of frost in a heat exchanger by providing alternative flow paths inside the exchanger. This can eliminate the cold corner, regulate frost formation or integrate a third flow from eg geothermal, straight into the central HVAC unit.

Description

  • Stacked, preformed triplets of sheets that create multiple channels in multiple configurations depending on application and performance requirements.

  • A perfect blend of cross- and countercurrent flow that can integrate geo-thermal
or solar media into existing air handling units.

Key features

  • Hybrid Cross- and counterflow enables Multiple interacting flows

  • Easy to vary design, with highly automated production and low cost materials

  • Membrane Integration enables a combination of heat- and mass-transfer in separate layers.

Solutions and Products

  • FTX-systems (geo+solar)

  • Distributed heating

  • Dehumidifiers

  • ERV – systems (HX with transport of water vapor)

HYDRA° – Simple design for flexible solutions

The original Hydra was an attempt to create a geometry similar to tube and shell HX, but easier to manufacture. The resulting HX was the best of two worlds – a sine form combining the low pressure drop of laminar flow with the high efficiency of a turbulent flow. Simply put - a heat exchanger combining ease of manufacture, efficiency and cost.

Description

  • Stacked, preformed sheets that create multiple channels in multiple configurations depending on application and performance requirements.

  • A carefully designed blend of laminar and turbulent flow in undulating channels provide the best of two worlds.

Key features

  • Cost efficient, single sheet production

  • Multiple product configurations

  • Optimal material use

  • Double the recycled energy by adding membranes

Solutions and Products

  • Tumble Driers & Dehumidifiers

  • Compact HX

  • Membrane Applications

XGENIQ° – Robust, compact and ideal for high differential pressures.

The XGENiQ was developed to provide a structurally strong HX with high efficiency and low pressure drop. The integrated groves facilitate not only a locking mechanism for each layer but allows for easy membrane integration as well.

Description

  • Stacked, preformed sheets with diamond shaped channels for a maximized surface area and interlocking layers.

  • A design of interlocking layers that provides extra resistance to differential pressure.

Key Features

  • Counter current

  • Diamond-shaped channels with thermal contact on all four sides.

  • Automated production

  • Membrane Ready

Solutions and Products

  • Coolers

  • Distributed Heating systems

  • Ventilation

  • Fuel cell stacks

  • Solar panel cooling

  • Dehumidifiers

  • Liquid/gas separation

CAELIQ° – Coaxial Continuous Flow.

The CaeliQ is, among other things, an outstanding room ventilator. The coaxial flow configuration facilitates a continuous flow in both directions simultaneously with counter current heat exchange through a single hole. A quiet, simple way to do decentralized air conditioning.

Description

  • A robust, cylindrical ventilation unit that is installed either separately for eg ventilating a space, or working together in a meshed network to facilitate perfect ventilation with heat recycling in buildings where a traditional, centralized air handling unit with plenums are not an option.

Key features

  • Coaxial Flow Device (A fan on each end, or two fans inside a wall)

  • Coaxial Flow Heat Exchanger for IoT

  • Single hole installation

    • Ideal for use in houses without means of heat recycling.

    • Ideal for installation in temporary spaces such as refugee or triage tents.

  • Additive or Traditional Manufacturing

Solutions and Products

  • Room ventilators

  • Radon vents

  • Board room ventilation

  • Decentralized ventilation systems

  • IoT ready
